Background

GIK (Gelanggang Inovasi dan Kreativitas) is a super creative hub located at Gadjah Mada University. GIK offers programs that bring together aesthetics, science, technology in the realm of the creative industry and humanities. As the largest student center in Southeast Asia, situated on the UGM campus, GIK provides productive research and innovation facilities to support student learning and collaboration with various professions, including industry, government, NGOs, and diverse communities. This fosters an inspiring space for future talents with a spirit of innovation, diversity, tolerance, and entrepreneurship.

As a super creative hub that will serve as a meeting point and network for various interdisciplinary fields, both nationally and internationally, it requires an official logo that reflects GIK's 5 core values: Immersive Experience, Collaboration, Education, Inspirational, and Multidisciplinary.




Main concept

Adopting the visual form of Batik Truntum, which incorporates elements reminiscent of "stars" and "flowers," the logo design embodies the philosophy of growth and blossoming, symbolizing the aspiration for it to shine and thrive through continuous innovation.
